Ever go into an antique store “just to look”, but then find something you just can’t leave without?
Hubster and I went to visit my brother and his wife and we hopped into their town’s local antique shop, turned the corner of a booth…and this amazing glass amber lamp grabbed a hold of me.
These cel phone pix do it no justice, I assure you.
Cut to the part where your brain’s region for reasoning now tries its darnest. “Don’t get attached, it’s probably too much money. Look at the price and then you’ll be able to walk away…”.
$35.00.
Crap. Really?
“But you’re renting and have no place for it right now…”
I don’t do this often, but this is when I told my brain to take a break and you’ve likely figured out what happened next.
The lamp is now home with me…packed safely away in a box…but I am determined to use it when we become homeowners. Pinky swear.
